Broadway Ladies: Ms. February 2010

She is a beautiful woman, with large, pretty eyes and a billion watt smile.  She can act, dance and sing – can she ever!

A star of such varied regional productions as Guys and Dolls and Once on this Island, she made it to Broadway in The Color Purple as an understudy for both Celie and Nettie.  And right now, she is tearing the rook right off the Shubert Theatre eight nights a week as an above-the-title star in Memphis.

I am talking about none other than Montego Glover, who will likely be a Tony nominee shortly, and is already showing signs of Broadway Diva-dom.  Just listen to her belt out “Colored Woman.” Or sweetly pop her way through “Someday.” Or call upon the angels and God himself in “Make Me Stronger.”

And now, here she is… Ms. February 2010!

Here they are again, doing what they do best – having all kinds of chemistry as Felicia and Huey!
Sing out, Montego!  You are Ms. February 2010 and a Broadway Star!
